This is not an easy process as there are several steps associated to this: The entry stage or substitution stage The adoption stage Adaptation Appropriation Invention This is a careful process and each step must be implemented correctly. When looking at the first stage teachers can take homework assignments and have students submit them online. For example, students can submit their daily journal online instead of writing it in their notebook. However, there are challenges when integrating technology into the classroom. Teaching style and administration support. Unwillingness to change favorite lesson plans. Reluctance to use technology in new lesson plans. Rewards and punishments. Ad-on to other activities. Use of technology to separate students by ability groups....
TLNT Chapter-11 This chapter speaks about digital portfolios for teachers, which is what we have to design in this class. This portfolio is designed by the teacher/individual to include their academics, accomplishments, talents and teaching. Other materials that can be included are resumes, lesson plans, experience and references. Some tools that can be used to create this portfolio are Task Stream, iLife and Edu Tools. This chapter is great for us as students to utilize when creating our own portfolio. This is a great tool to present to a future employer when going on an interview for a job as it showcases all your accomplishments. It it very impressive in lieu of handing over a piece of paper. This chapter also speaks about Student Participation Systems. This is a wireless tool that offers real-time exchanges between students and teachers.
